Chief Expert Optical Engineer
Job Descriptions:
This is R&D position in Research&Development Department. Act as a leading role in designing, developing and testing optical products, particularly for optical designing on ashepherical lens and related optics used in a liquid crystal (LC), a liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS), or a free space optical device. Carry out the product development from concept, prototyping, pilot run, qualification to NPI. Create and maintain technical documents, such as product specifications, design documents, engineering BOMs, and work instructions.
Job Functions:
Define the overall requirements and specifications for the new products Plan and execute product development schedule Perform key role in optical design, modeling and simulations Work out solutions in product design and process improvement Lead pilot runs, qualifications and NPI Perform optical component characterization, testing, tolerance and failure analysis Manage technical documents (specifications, designs, BOMs and work instructions)
Job Requirement:
Training or Skills
MS in Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering, or equivalent
With strong knowledge in free-space optics
Skilled at using one or more optical designing tools, such as ZEMAX, TracePro, LightTool
Experience
Experience in engineering management is preferred
Minimum 2+ years experience in optical product design and development
