April 25, 2001 Santec is a leading manufacturer of tunable lasers for DWDM applications. The ECL-210 has been developed to meet customers demands for a fully electronically controlled, tunable multi-channel laser with high output power and excellent wavelength and power stabilities. The ECL-210 uses Santec?s proven filter-based external cavity design which ensures accurate wavelength selection with mode hope free operation. The slimline 19 inch 2U rack houses up to 8 channels, and allows for full control through either the GPIB or RS-232 interfaces. The ECL-210 has a full 80nm tuning range and covers all DWDM system wavelengths between 1460nm and 1640nm. The 1530-1610nm version allows electronic switching between C-band and L-band testing. The wide tuning range is complemented by high output power up to 10mW and excellent wavelength and power stabilities. The ECL-210 provides both flexibility and ease
of use and is suitable for both general laboratory use, or production
environments for applications such as EDFA and raman amplifier testing,
optical fiber and DWDM system assessment.
