Recent developments in DWDM communications technology are enabling fully tunable systems to be realized, and pushing transmission speeds to 40Gb/s with channel spacing of 25GHz or less. To support these trends Santec has introduced a number of new products. Santec's 'linear sliding' technology is well known for providing polarization independent tunability. This technology has been incorporated in our latest tunable filter, the OTF-655, specifically for DWDM system integration and channel selection. The high speed Polarization Analysis module, PAM-100, is designed for monitoring polarization states in both 10Gb/s and 40Gb/s systems. Our latest range of wavelength locking devices provide support for DWDM systems with channel spacing as narrow as 25GHz.
