March 29, 2002 Santec Corporation, a leading supplier of fiber optic components and test instruments, announced today the launch of its Fiber Optics Subsystems (FOS) group based in Hackensack, NJ. The first product from this division, which is a part of the Santec Photonics Laboratory (Komaki , Japan), is a DWDM Channel monitor that draws on Santec's expertise in manufacturing and packaging to build a unit with the smallest form factor on the market. Products in development include reconfigurable OADMs, tunable transponders, OSNR monitors, dynamic gain equalizers, as well as an increasing number of customer specific modules.
