Rapid Sweep Laser

 Santec,
a leading design and manufacturer of fiber-optic components, sub-systems
and optical instruments announced a new, high performance tunable
laser, the TSL-500. The laser uses an innovative shuttle-pass cavity
design which provides market leading specifications such as an SNR
of >60dB, >10mW output power over the full 100nm tuning range
and a wavelength accuracy of <8pm. The laser can perform rapid
wavelength sweeps (100nm/2s) and has built-in power meters to enable
both transmission and return losses to be measured simultaneously.
A removable LCD touch screen provides clear display and convenient
control. The outstanding performance of the TSL-500 makes it a versatile
test and measurement tool for a host of applications in optical
research, development and manufacture.
