In SS-OCT, the axial resolution is determined by the scan range of the laser. We offer some of the widest scan ranges on the market, up to 170nm with high scan speeds. Our latest tunable VCSEL technology offers a reconfigurable scan rate up to 400 kHz and an ultra-long coherence length of over 100m.

HSL-1 is based on advanced electrically pumped VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) technology. It delivers the best in class performance including long coherence length, variable scan rate and low signal noise. The laser can be configured with a high scan rate of up to 400 kHz and its ultra-long coherence length eliminates the coherence revival. This is an attractive laser for SS-OCT. It is also eminently suitable for other applications such as sensing, spectroscopy and LiDAR. The HSL-1 is a robust and reliable laser in a compact package. It is manufactured using the standard semiconductor processes that can be scaled to provide a very low cost solution in high volumes.

HSL-10 is an integrated MEMS based swept source laser that outperforms other lasers in speed, coherence length and scan range. It provides 100 kHz swept rates with superior stability and reliability. The source is equipped with a K-trigger and start-trigger for system synchronization.
HSL-20 is an integrated MEMS based swept source laser that combines high speed, with a long coherence length and wide scan range. The combination makes it very flexible for OCT imaging. Swept rates of either 50 kHz or 100 kHz with high stability are available. We provide both K-trigger and start-trigger for the system synchronization.
Santecʼs polygon scanner technology provides a unique, highly repeatable, linear scan. High quality OCT images can be generated without K-clock sampling which significantly reduces system complexity and cost. The wide scan range enables extremely good axial resolution. OEM versions are available and these are widely used in FDA approved medical systems.
