OTF-980

Our OTF-980 is built with novel free-space optics combined with an ultra-fine tuning mechanism to ensure precise filter control and a flat-top passband shape. An integrated power meter monitors power at the output and features an automatic peak search function. GPIB, Ethernet and USB interfaces combined with the industry-standard SCPI command set allows for full remote control and measurement automation. The OTF-980 is also controlled via the front panel touchscreen.

  • Center wavelength and bandwidth can be tuned independently
  • Flat-top filter shape with steep filter slope:
    - Ultrafine-Plus: 0.05 to 3 nm, 1000 dB/nm
    - Ultrafine: 0.08 to 4 nm, 500 dB/nm
    - Standard: 0.1 to 15 nm, 200 dB/nm
    Wavelength tuning range: 85 nm in C&L-band
  • Peak search function

OTF-930

Our OTF-930 bench-top type tunable filter has wide variety of filter profile options available. Combining filter types and number of cascaded filters (S1, S2, S3) the OTF-930 can be configured to suit many fiber optic applications. Low PDL and low PMD are characteristic of Santec‘s “linear sliding” filters. OTF-930 comes with GPIB and RS-232C control interfaces that enable remote control and data acquisition.

  • ASE Noise Suppression
    When optical signals are amplified using EDFAs, unwanted levels of amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) can decrease the signal-to-noise ratio. The OTF-930 with 08-S1, 08-S2 or 12-S2 filters can remove the ASE noise with minimal loss.
  • Wavelength Channel Selection
    The 03-S2 filter configuration is particularly suitable for selecting a single DWDM wavelength from a 100 GHz grid. Other filters can be used to select other ITU grid spaced signals.
  • Incoherent Light Source
    When used in combination with a broadband light source the OTF-930 can be configured as a tunable light source. Although the output power is relatively low (- 30 to - 20 dBm) the incoherent light is especially useful for applications which are affected by coherent resonance effects or non-linear interference.

OTF-320

Our OTF-320 is a manually tunable wavelength optical filter that uses a linear sliding method. This product has a wide variety of filter profile options by combining filter type and number of cascaded filters (S1, S2, and S3) to suit most fiber optic applications. It is suitable for basic laboratory use and also for system integration of wavelength selection during installation.
