Pay attention to the place of use and storage of the product

Please avoid using and storing the product in the following places.

• Places exposed to direct sunlight
• Places with high temperature or high humidity
• Places with a lot of dust, dirt, salt, and corrosive gases
• Places with large vibrations
• Places with magnetic fields or strong electronic noise
• Places where water may splash

Our products have air inlets for cooling and exhaust fans on the bottom and sides. Please make sure that there is enough free space so as not to obstruct the air flow.

Proper packaging when transporting the product

Tunable lasers and optical instruments are sensitive to shock and vibration, therefore proper packaging is needed for transportation. Improper packaging may cause damage to the product. Please make sure that the original packing materials are used during the shipment, according to the following instructions link. Precautions for handling the optical fiber and cleaning the optical connector section

Before connecting optical fibers, always clean the end face but be cautious over-cleaning. Dirt or damage on the optical fiber may damage to the instrument's end face, as well as deteriorate the measurement accuracy. In the worst case, the measuring instrument may need to be repaired.
Be careful not to overtighten the connector. Overtightening may apply stress to the fiber end face, which may degrade the measurement accuracy and cause damage to the fiber end face.
When inserting an optical fiber into the connector, be careful not to damage the end face of the fiber and insert it as perpendicular as possible.

When the instrument is not in use, keep the connector cover on to prevent dust and other particles from adhering to it.
Periodic cleaning of the connector is recommended to prevent damage to the fiber end face, adhesion of dust, as well as other contaminants. For details on how to clean the optical connector section, please refer to the product manual.

Use the power cord that came with the product at the time of delivery

The power cord supplied with our product are meant to only be used with our products . Do not use it for any other electronic devices. Do not use any power cord other than the one that is supplied with our products.

Do not disassemble products

If the “WARRANTY VOID” seal is removed or damaged, the product warranty will be void. In such case, our maintenance support (repair/calibration) will be declined. If an abnormality occurs in the product, please contact santec.
