IPD/MTP/UTP/NTP are optical power monitoring devices consisting of individual tap-integrated photo detector.
They eliminate the need for a separate optical fiber coupler/splitter and a photo detector, and provide a simple and low cost solution for optical power monitoring of DWDM, optical switch and amplifier systems.

Santec's INTP is an optical isolator and tap photo detector integrated device. Santec's latest and smallest uni-directional tap photo detector and optical isolator are integrated into one package. While integrating two devices, the size of the INTP remains the same size as the NTP, the smallest tap photo detector. INTP allows the customer to reduce the module footprint while increasing the design capability.
Santec's tap photo detector series are excellent for high-density integration in next-generation small form factor pluggable module, and the INTP series will enable more fiexible design of the next-generation high-performance pluggable small form factor such as QSFP-DD and OSFP.

Santec's NTP is the latest and smallest single high-directivity uni-directional tap photo detector. The size of the NTP is reduced by 50% in volume compared to the UTP-1. NTP allows the customer to reduce the module footprint while increasing the design capability.
Santec's tap photo detector series are excellent for high-density integration in next-generation small form factor pluggable module and the NTP series will enable the next-generation high-performance pluggable small form factor such as QSFP-DD and OSFP.
