Santec’s new laser servo controller for enabling stabilization of tunable lasers

Product Name: Laser Lock Pro
Model: LLP-100

SANTEC, a leading manufacturer of advanced optical components, tunable lasers, optical test equipment, and OCT systems, announces the release of a new product, the Laser Lock Pro (LLP-100). It is designed to complement Santec’s external cavity tunable lasers, as a servo controller to stabilize the laser’s oscillating frequency. LLP-100 locks the laser wavelength to an external reference. The LLP-100 is software controlled to easily adjust and lock the frequency to a desired reference such as a gas absorption cell, Fabry-Perot cavities or other frequency reference. Frequency locking supports both the Pound-Drever-Hall (PDH) method and the side-fringe locking methods. The LLP-100 coupled with the TSL-570 is an ideal system for applications requiring both wavelength tunability and frequency stability; for example: continuous comb generation using a microcavity on a silicon photonics chip as well as quantum applications to stabilize the laser at arbitrary wavelengths.

Features:
- Significant improvement in laser stability:
LLP-100 electronics are optimized for laser stabilization. Closed-loop operation provides a 50x improvement compared to open-loop operation.
- Advanced simultaneous control using the dedicated software:
Simultaneous control of the tunable laser and the laser servo controller with automated lock sequences which lock to a reference within 10 seconds
- Various locking sequences selectable for your application:
Manual lock, auto lock/relock and trigger-based lock control modes.
- Equipped with essential adjustment functions:
Incorporates laser wavelength controller/monitor, PID controller and function generator.

The LLP-100 will be displayed at CIOE 2024 (Shenzhen, China) from 11th September to 13th September, and IEEE Quantum Week 2024 (Montreal, Canda) from 15th September to 20th September.
