Yes, the wavefront correction data is stored in the included USB memory stick. Note that ambient temperature and mounting method will affect the wavefront.

Q. What kind of spatial optical phase modulator is LCOS-SLM?

LCOS-SLM is a spatial light phase modulator that allows free manipulation of light by electrically controlling the amplitude, phase, and polarization of light. The liquid crystal mode is VA orientation and the drive is analog voltage drive. For more information on the principle, technology, and characteristics, please refer to here.

Q. Was the LCOS-SLM developed in-house?

Yes, everything from system design to manufacturing is done in-house. Therefore, the LCOS-SLM is optimized for each wavelength of the laser.

Q. In which wavelength bands is the LCOS-SLM suitable for use?

We offer products in the wavelength range of 365-1600 nm. You can choose the product that corresponds to the light source used.

SLM-200, SLM-210 : Products are available in the 450-1600nm wavelength range. 
SLM-250 : UV wavelength range (365-550nm) is available.
SLM-300 : Three wavelength bands (532nm, 800nm, and 1064nm) are available according to the wavelength of the laser to be used.

Q. Do I need to measure phase characteristics and flatness before actual use to correct for individual device phase characteristics and flatness?

No, you do not need to measure. We ship LCOS-SLMs with excellent linearity phase characteristics. We also provide individual wavefront correction data with the product.

Q. How phase stable is the LCOS-SLM?

The phase stability is among the best in the world, with excellent characteristics of less than Typ. 0.002 pi. The controller that drives the LCOS chip has been carefully designed to minimize fluctuations.

Q. Do I need a special interface to drive the LCOS-SLM?

No, you do not need to provide an interface. Only a standard graphics card with DVI output is required to drive the LCOS chip.

Q. At what level does laser damage would occur?

Depends on laser specifications (wavelength, average power, pulse energy, pulse width, repetition rate), please contact us for more information.

Q. What is the lead time for the LCOS-SLM?

Standard lead time is 6-8 weeks after placing an order. Depending on manufacturing conditions, we may be able to deliver sooner than normal. If you are in a hurry, please let us know.

Q. What is the warranty period for the LCOS-SLM?

Warranty period is 12 months after delivery.
