The paper " Core-Selective Switch for SDM Network based on LCPG and MEMS technology" will be presented at OFC 2023.
■ Research Contents
We proposed and demonstrated 19-core 1x8 core selective switch (CSS) with VOA function based on liquid crystal polarization grating (LCPG) and MEMS technology.
The minimum insertion loss of 4.7dB and attenuation of 19.5dB were observed with an applied voltage of 15Vp-p. Even in 19-core massive MCF switch configuration, measured crosstalk was over 35dB thanks to the LCPG operation principle.
