santec OIS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “OIS”) is pleased to announce the establishment of Santec Vienna GmbH.

The new entity was established to strengthen our technological development and R&D capabilities in the medical field, with the aim of making a sustained contribution to people’s health through advances in medical technologies, particularly in the field of ophthalmology.

We are also pleased to announce that Matthias Salas has been appointed CEO of the subsidiary. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics and brings a strong background in optics, spanning both fundamental research and the development of advanced optical systems. After joining Santec in 2021 and leading R&D teams in Japan and the United States, he now heads Santec Vienna GmbH, leveraging his international experience to bridge Japanese innovation with European expertise.
