Santec LIS Corporation (Komaki, Aichi, Japan) is pleased to announce that its External-cavity wavelength-tunable laser (TSL series) has received the Laser Industry Award for Excellent Product at the 18th Laser Society of Japan Industry Awards, presented by the Laser Society of Japan.
The Laser Society of Japan Industry Award is conferred on outstanding laser-related products and technologies that have made significant contributions to the advancement of Japan’s laser-related industries through development, practical application, and dissemination.
Among these honors, the Laser Industry Award for Excellent Product places particular emphasis on the technical excellence and proven market performance of laser-related industrial technologies.

The external-cavity wavelength-tunable laser (TSL series) was first commercialized in 1988 as the world’s first external-cavity wavelength-tunable laser based on a semiconductor laser. Since its initial launch, continuous improvements have led to substantial advancements in both performance and reliability.
