Santec LIS Corporation signs agreement to acquire MOGLabs

Acquisition represents a strategic entry into the quantum technology market and will support Santec’s growth roadmap.

Santec LIS Corporation, a global leader in tunable lasers, OCT systems & optical test equipment, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire MOG LABORATORIES PTY LTD (MOGLabs), an Australian developer and manufacturer of high-tech products targeting quantum technology markets and various research & science applications. The signing of the share sale agreement (SSA) marks a big step in Santec’s strategic expansion into the quantum technology space.

Founded in 2007, MOGLabs specializes in tunable external cavity diode lasers, laser amplifiers, low-noise laser control electronics, high-resolution wavemeters and rf-synthesizers. MOGLabs is recognized for its unique CEL cateye diode laser technology, high level of innovation and strong ties to the global Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics & quantum communities. With this acquisition, Santec LIS Corporation aims to expand its product portfolio and address rapidly emerging opportunities in sectors such as quantum computing, quantum communications, sensing, advanced imaging, and next-generation optical instrumentation.
